What to expect:

Yin Yoga is slow yoga.

This Friday evening class is a space in which you can wind down for the weekend.

The class starts with mindful, embodied movement. Throughout, we will connect to the breath, turn attention inwards, and move towards a place of stillness – yin poses are held for a few minutes at a time. The practice is mostly floor based and done sitting, lying and kneeling, with the occasional standing pose. We will end with a few minutes of relaxation (savasana).

The use of props to support the body is very much encouraged.

In all my yoga classes I aim to be inclusive - people of all body types and identities are welcome. As this is not a chair based class - the pre-requisite is being able to get on and off the floor without help.

When: Fridays, once a month, 6-7.15pm (1 hour 15 mins)

Where: Calderdale Yoga Centre.

Unit 2, Hangingroyd Lane, Hebden Bridge, HX7 7DD.

Access: There are 2 flights of stairs to access the studio.

Parking: There is on-street parking and Market Place car park within walking distance of the studio. Hebden is a small town that can get busy so please allow time to find a parking spot before class.

Equipment: The studio is fully equipped with mats, blocks and bolsters. Please bring your own if you prefer.

Please book online in advance here - I only take online bookings and do not take cash.

Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Pricing: I offer a sliding scale with a concession rate for low earners. Choose which is appropriate for you.

Full price: £11.50 / concession: £9.50 per person, per class.

I trained for five years in yoga therapy and firmly believe that yoga should be adapted to suit your needs.

You, the student, are central to this practice.
